A SAFE ENVIRONMENT
Policies to Promote a Safe Environment
Lewisville Playhouse has implemented policies and procedures for safety in the theater for those who work here, paid or volunteer. These address issues around sexual harassment, discrimination, violence, intimidation or bullying.
Lewisville Playhouse is committed to providing a safe environment for its actors, designers, crew members and all who work in this theater. Anyone working in the theater has access to a designated board contact should they become aware of an issue or experience a situation that feels unsafe or makes them uncomfortable. Signs are posted in the dressing room and the production contacts, one man and one woman, will introduce themselves to the cast and crew before rehearsals for each production begin.
In addition, Lewisville Playhouse requires background checks for all board and staff members as well as members of each show's production team.
A standing agenda item is discussed at board meetings to address additional measures required to keep the program vital and maintain high levels of awareness.
