The Board of Directors and Organization Members (Subscribers and Donors) of GLCT have approved a resolution to change the name of the organization to
"LEWISVILLE PLAYHOUSE"!
What is driving the proposed name change?

Increased appeal to a newer and diverse audience that may not be drawn to “community” theater. We have observed this trend at other community theaters around the DFW metroplex, such as Denton and Frisco.

An updated name will make our theater more outstanding to a new group of production creatives, e.g., actors, directors, and technical designers, allowing us to bring in a wider range of talent and diversity.

Generate more theater excitement in the Old Town business district.

We will be celebrating our 40th Anniversary season and we feel it's the perfect occasion for a fresh look, which will also include a new logo to accompany the new name.
BOX OFFICE: Currently, our Box Office will be staffed ONLY during performance days, one hour prior to curtain. However, our Patron Services team will be checking messages constantly so please leave a message for a callback...but we ask for your patience and understanding as responses may be delayed and take longer than usual.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to major Old Town construction projects, parking will be very limited. We also recommend parking in the lots on either end of City Hall, off Church Street between Mill and Charles, or street parking around The Grand. Parking on Main Street is limited, especially in the evening. Please allow additional time for parking and walking to the theater.
